hot weather
What can you say about this summer so far other than it has been a pretty hot one, especially this past 4 and 5 days, with temperatures reaching into the 100s with the heat index and humidity. It is summer and to be expected for this time of the year. You will find lots of people at the beach or inside somewhere. A good thing about this summer so far is that there haven't been any storms to come our way which is good, as the hurricane center predicted there to be more storms than last year. It is August and things are looking to slow down a little bit but there are still hundreds of thousands of tourists here doing their thing from shopping, the beach, to shows, partying, or just relaxing. There are many new housing developments going up, and a lot of new hotels or renovations of old hotels along Ocean Boulevard.
As most of you may or may not know this is the last year for the Myrtle Beach Pavilion, yes folks it is closing, no one is really 100% positive on what will go there. There is supposedly going to be highrises and a boardwalk along that area, but we will try to keep everyone updated to what it will turn into. Myrtle Beach will soon be home to the only Hard Rock Cafe themepark in the world, supposedly coming here in the near future, for more information goto our blog page for more information.
