New Myrtle Beach nightclub called Maximus Nightlife

Not sure if you know or not, probably old news, but there is a new nightclub here in Myrtle Beach, SC. Yet another one to be added to the Myrtle Beach nightclubs scene called Maximus Nightlife. It has been months in the making and renovating of what used to Club Baja in Myrtle Beach, SC. It is in the same location off of business 17 Kings Hwy in Myrtle Beach. The complete address is 1012 South Kings Highway Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 near the Beachwagon. We have yet to check it out but it should be pretty nice. Not exactly sure how well it will do in Myrtle Beach with the clubs there are already, mainly at Broadway at the Beach with Club Boca, Malibus surf bar and club, Revolutions, and Froggy Bottomz. There is also Club Kryptonite here in town which during the summer is open 7 days a week and is constantly packed from open to close. Club Maximus Nightlife may do pretty well considering Freaky Tiki is now closed at least through the summer  and into the fall. You never know we shall see, Club Maximus Nightlife is due to open June 1st 2006 less than a week away.

We are going to see if we can round up a website for them, not sure if they signed up for one, or are thinking about getting one. If they aren't currently obtaining one we will try to see if we can work with them on allowing us to develop one for them.

Atlantic Beach bike week is here

Well the Harley Bike Week is over and now it is time for the Atlantic Beach bike week 2006. Officially it starts on Saturday but bikers have been arriving since Tuesday. Why so early I am not sure, but one thing is they are in town. This one is a bit different from the first one in that being the majority are black and ride sport bikes also known as crotchrockets and the Harley bike week most are white and ride Harleys and Choppers. You will see bikers all over Myrtle Beach mostly from the state park in Myrtle Beach or beginning of Farrow Parkway all the way up to Atlantic Beach which is where most of the bikers will be. Be careful out there as you ride around town as these guys and girls like to go fast and weave throughout traffic, we don't need any more biker fatalities here in Myrtle Beach. There were 7 total fatalities during this past Harley Bike week 7 more than we should have had. As I am around town I will be trying to take some pictures of bikers and the roads for those who might want to see what it is like during Atlantic Beach Bike Week 2006.

Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2006 is over

Well it is now Monday the day after the end of Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2006 spring rally. So we thought we would talk alittle bit about it. This years Bike Week went by with relatively no problems for the 300,000 or so people who came to Myrtle Beach for the events. We must remember and have sympathy for the family and friends of  the 7 bikers who were killed during this years events. Most of them were killed because someone had failed to give the right of way to the bikers. There were about 125 traffic accidents involving motorcycles. There were some changes this year to this years Myrtle Beach Bike Week which some didn't really like. Those being the one way traffic on Ocean Blvd and the absence of vendors in the city of Myrtle Beach except at Broadway at the Beach and the Convention Center. There were tons of vendors, tons of people, and tons of motorcycles everywhere you went. If you attended you know how awesome it was, and if you didn't attend you will have to make it a priority to attend next year.

Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2006 spring

Well it's official folks, the festivities and bikers start arriving today for what will be many days of Bike Week fun. This is the 66th Myrtle Beach Bike Week. The vendors have been setting up the past few days for preperation for tomorrow. The major vendor areas are Broadway at the Beach, Harley Davidson and Iron Gate locations just outside of Myrtle Beach off business 17, Barefoot Landing, and Colonial Mall. We will be taking a lot of pictures of bikes, people and vendor locations throughout Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas. We will be adding pictures of Myrtle Beach Bike Week 2006 every few days so stay tuned to our website. There are a few changes this year, one is Orange County Chopper will not be here at Club Kryptonite as Myrtle Beach has restricted vending in Myrtle Beach city limits. Another major change will be that traffic flow on Ocean Blvd will be southbound only due to a lawsuit by the NAACP. If you are coming here for this spring Myrtle Beach Bike Week remember to obey laws, drive safe, and be safe in all that you do. We look forward to this being another great bike week here in Myrtle Beach, SC. For information about Myrtle Beach visit our website

Hard Rock Theme Park

Hard Rock Theme Park is coming!

4.27.06 Hard Rock announces plans for rock n' roll theme park.

I am not sure if you all have heard but what is old news to some of us may be new news to some of you. Hard Rock Cafe is building the one and only Theme park right here in Myrtle Beach, SC. The location for this will be where the Waccamaw Pottery location is. We have gotten mixed feelings about having the theme park here but I think overall it will be a very good thing for Myrtle Beach, definately for Hard Rock.
This following is from the  Hard Rock Cafe website.

Brace yourself Myrtle Beach. The Hard Rock Park is coming! The company that revolutionized the way you dine is putting a new face on large-scale entertainment. Set to open in 2008, Hard Rock Park will feature six unique, custom-designed zones celebrating rock's culture, lifestyle, legends and irreverence, roller coasters, children's play areas, restaurants, cafes, retail stores and a multi-purpose live music amphitheater.
